Disconnect the generator start battery

Use a metal brush or abrasive pad to clean all battery terminals and cable contacts until shiny metal is visible.

Reconnect the battery and ensure all connections are tight and secure.

Wipe off dust and residue, then apply dielectric grease to the cleaned contacts.

Check that all battery terminals are secure. Tighten as needed until there is no movement or looseness.

Cover Terminals with a thin layer of dialectric grease
